Privacy

This site collects as little data as possible. This page states completely what is stored — and what is not.

Visiting (no account)

• A language cookie (mp_lang) if you switch languages. It only ever contains "de" or "en".
• Calm mode and large text are stored only in your browser (localStorage) and never leave it.
• No tracking cookies, no analytics scripts, no ads, no fingerprinting.
• The site runs on Cloudflare, which produces aggregate, non-personal traffic and security statistics.
• Map links (OpenStreetMap, Apple Maps) open external services only when you click them. The map page (/maps) loads its map tiles from OpenStreetMap when you open it — nothing else is requested externally.

With an account (accounts are created manually)

• Name, email address and a password hash (never the password itself).
• A session cookie (mp_session) so you stay logged in.
• What you save yourself: planned/visited marks, private notes, ratings, comfort limits, digest settings.
• Optionally a coarse home base (PLZ/town only, never a street address). It only affects your own view and never appears publicly or in shared content.
• Email is sent only if you enable the digest — switch it off anytime in your profile. Delivery goes through the email service Resend: your address and the mail's content are transmitted to Resend for sending, and for nothing else.

Never

• No selling or passing data to third parties.
• No embedded third-party content that tracks you while you read.

Deletion: contact the site owner and your account and everything attached to it is removed.
