Preparing for: Heimgarten Überschreitung (Walchensee → Ohlstadt)
On-foot traverse of the Herzogstand–Heimgarten massif, climbing from Walchensee to the Heimgarten summit and descending the Loisachtal side to Ohlstadt. The same ridge as the Herzogstand cable-car trip, walked the long way. (~14 km point-to-point)

Exit plan
Once committed to the ascent, the only short bail-out is to retreat to Walchensee. From the summit, walking the ridge to Herzogstand and taking the cable car down is an alternative exit (longer, but cable-car-assisted).
